Team 18 has unveiled David Reynolds’ #20 Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, welcoming Snowy River Caravans as naming rights partner for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.

The reveal marks a significant new partnership with one of Australia’s fastest-growing caravan manufacturers, as the team heads into its first full year as Chevrolet Racing’s homologation partner following a strong finish to the 2025 campaign.

The Snowy River Racing Camaro, designed by Peter Hughes, is based on Team 18’s 2026 team look, led by the familiar teal base of Snowy River Caravans and complemented by a Chevrolet logo fade that reflects the team’s new role with Chevrolet.

The team launched the Snowy River Caravans partnership with a cheeky social media video featuring a now retired James Courtney enjoying the start of his Supercars retirement in a Snowy River Caravan. Courtney was supported by Snowy River Caravans for the last four years, and will team up with Reynolds in the Snowy River Racing Chevrolet for The Bend 500 and the Bathurst 1000.

Reynolds heads into the 2026 season following a 13th-place finish in 2025, highlighted by a second-place result at the Bathurst 1000, a pole position in Townsville and seven top-ten race finishes, contributing to Team 18’s fifth-place finish in the teams’ championship.

Team 18 Technical Director Geoff Slater will step into the race engineer role for Reynolds in 2026, with Richard Hollway remaining in the squad. At 40 years of age, Reynolds will be the oldest driver on the Supercars grid and is keen to use that experience to his advantage against a youthful field.

Reynolds will take the Snowy River Racing Camaro to the track for the first time at a pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park on Wednesday, 18 February, ahead of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship season opener, the Sydney 500, from 20–22 February, live on Channel 7 and Fox Sports.

QUOTES

David Reynolds – Driver, #20 Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro

“The Snowy River Chevy looks great. The teal has become pretty familiar in Supercars now and it really suits the Camaro, it looks aggressive and as a team I think our cars look really strong heading into 2026.

“Last season was a solid one for us. We came on strong, finishing second at Bathurst, taking a pole in Townsville and moving up to fifth in the teams’ championship showed the direction we’re heading. There’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes to build on that over the off-season.

“Having Geoff step into the race engineer role is something I’m really looking forward to. He’s incredibly experienced, highly credentialed and knows the team inside out.

“I’m the oldest guy on the grid now, which sounds strange at only 40, but I actually see it as a positive. There’s a lot of young drivers and rookies coming through, which is great for the category, but experience still counts for a lot in Supercars, and I feel like I’m in a good position to use that to our advantage.

“I’ve got JC in my corner now as my co-driver. Holdsworth did an awesome job for us last year, but I’m really looking forward to sharing the car with James. He’s the same size as me, hopefully drives the car in a similar way, and he’s just a great character to have around. He brings another level to the team, and I honestly can’t wait to get started.”

“There’s been a lot of momentum building through the off-season and I’m really keen to get into a new year. With the work that’s gone into this car and the direction the team’s heading, I can’t wait to get on track and get the season started.”

James Courtney – 2026 Snowy River Racing Co-Driver

“2026 is a whole new challenge for me. Going from being a full-time driver to now being Davey’s sidekick is a completely different dynamic to get my head around. Dave and I have known each other for a long time, and there’s a huge amount of experience between the two of us. He’s a Bathurst winner and now the oldest full-time driver in the field — sucked in, Davey.

“Bathurst is the one race that’s eluded me my whole career, so to be able to tackle it with someone as talented and experienced as Dave is fantastic. That experience really counts in the enduros, and I think we’ve got a very strong pairing.”

“It’s also pretty fitting to be back with GM. I started my career as an enduro driver with GM back in 2005, and to come back and finish this chapter in the same role feels right. To still be involved with Snowy River after all these years is great as well, it shows the strength of Supercars and the value of long-term partnerships. I’m really looking forward to the 2026 season and the challenge it brings.”

“This time of year feels strange without a full-time program. Normally I’d be deep into training, annoying engineers, chasing sponsors and getting ready for round one, so there’s definitely a bit of a hole there. I’m still getting my head around that, but when it comes to the Enduros, success is winning. I’ve been on the Bathurst podium plenty of times, but never on the top step, that’s the goal. Anything else means there’s work to do, and we’re both up for the challenge.”

“Walking into the team properly for the first time was great. I’ve worked with a lot of the people there before, and the atmosphere is unreal. It’s a growing team with great morale, and now taking on the responsibility as GM’s homologation team, you can really feel the energy. Everyone’s keen to get stuck in, and I’m excited to see where this team can go.”

Charlie Schwerkolt – Team Owner, Team 18

“This partnership with Snowy River Caravans is a great fit for Team 18 and an exciting addition to our program as we move into a new phase for the team. Snowy River is a well-known and well-supported brand within Supercars, and having them align with us on David’s car is a strong endorsement of the direction we’re heading.”

“We’re proud of the ongoing support of our long-standing partners, and I’d like to acknowledge TRADIE for their commitment over the past two seasons as naming rights partner and their continued backing of Team 18.”

“Fifth in the teams’ championship last year reflected the progress we’ve made and gave us a strong base to build from. The focus now is on continuing to improve and making sure both cars, led by David and Anton, are consistently competitive wherever we race.”

Andrew Crank – CEO, Snowy River Caravans

“The Silverado is the ultimate tow vehicle, and Snowy River Caravans is excited to partner with Chevrolet as naming‑rights sponsor of Team 18, specifically Car 20 with David Reynolds and James Courtney. Team 18 is poised for greater success in 2026, and Charlie continues to bring such high enthusiasm and passion to the sport. This new partnership will create opportunities for both Chevrolet and Snowy River Caravans customers to enjoy the landscapes and holiday destinations of Australia and New Zealand, said Andrew Crank, CEO of Snowy River Caravans”.

“I first met Dave in 2006, when he was driving a Porsche for Sonic, and I’ve followed his career with interest ever since. It’s special that, 20 years later, he is now driving the Snowy River Racing entry. His cheeky, entertaining character is incredibly relatable to our customers, and we are looking forward to working closely together and achieving results both on and off the track.

“What can I say about JC? It was an emotional end to the season in Adelaide last year as he retired from full‑time racing. As the main driver of the Snowy River Racing entry for the past four years, he has been an amazing ambassador for our brand, and we are thrilled to continue the relationship with Team 18 as he steps into a co‑driver role. What an incredible driver combination we will have for the enduros.”
