David Reynolds is one of the most successful and popular drivers on the 2025 Supercars grid and features the story of a popular larrikin who has found his ideal environment to thrive in at Team 18.

As a youngster, Reynolds won multiple Australian titles on his way to the Supercars grid, including the 2004 Australian Formula Ford Championship and ’07 Porsche Carrera Cup crown.

He made his Supercars debut in 2007 as a Paul Weel Racing endurance co-driver, and entered the Dunlop Super2 Series the following year.

Fourth place led to a full-time drive in Supercars for 2009 with Walkinshaw Racing in their third entry.

After a year out, Reynolds returned to the main series via Kelly Racing in 2011, with a string of strong performances saw him picked up by Ford Performance Racing for 2012 in the Rod Nash Racing Bottle-O entry.

Reynolds became a race winner in 2013 on the streets of the Gold Coast embarking in some memorable celebrations with co-driver Dean Canto and contended for the 2015 title in a Ford-dominated season.

After moving on from Tickford Racing in 2015, Reynolds joined Erebus Motorsport when the team shifted from the Gold Coast to Melbourne and Mercedes to Holden, and the move initially came up trumps.

He scored 19 podiums for the team between 2017 and 2019, including the 2017 Bathurst crown and three other race wins. However, a 2020 without a podium stung, and he sought a change to Kelly Grove Racing.

After a tough first season with Kelly Grove Racing (which then evolved to Grove Racing), Reynolds returned to his best in 2022 with seven podiums and two poles, before that momentum continued in to 2023 with two wins on the Gold Coast and a second in Adelaide.

Reynolds has found a new home at Team 18 on a multi-year deal in the Tradie Beer Racing Camaro, joining former team mate Mark Winterbottom in 2024.

Reynolds endured a tough maiden season with the team, with a best of fourth at the Australian Grand Prix. In 2025 he was reunited with former teammate Anton De Pasquale and scored a pole position in Townsville and runner-up at the Bathurst 1000 with Lee Holdsworth.

Reynolds lines up in 2026 with his third year with Team 18 with major backing from Snowy River Caravans.
