DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale delivered Team 18 its second victory of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship, converting a second-row start into a commanding win in the final race of the Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley Raceway.
After showing encouraging pace throughout Sunday’s qualifying sessions, both Team 18 Camaros progressed through Q1, with De Pasquale advancing to the Top Ten Shootout after qualifying fifth. The DEWALT Racing driver then produced one of his strongest laps of the weekend, stopping the clocks with a 1:06.4253 to secure third on the grid for the 200km finale. On the other side of the garage, Snowy River Racing’s David Reynolds progressed to Q2 before qualifying 17th, later moving up one position on the grid following a driver change to the car ahead.
When the lights went out, De Pasquale made an excellent start from the second row, slotting into third position through the opening corners. Reynolds also capitalised on early race chaos, charging forward through the field and climbing into 12th position within the opening laps.
The race turned in the team’s favour during the opening round of pit stops. De Pasquale pitted on Lap 19 and quickly found himself in a strong strategic position, moving into the effective race lead by Lap 22 after rivals encountered slower pit stops and fuel strategy variations. With clear air ahead, the DEWALT Racing Camaro showcased impressive pace and tyre management, allowing De Pasquale to steadily build and control his advantage across the second half of the race.
A second stop on Lap 45 maintained the advantage, with the team executing another clean service to keep De Pasquale ahead of his key challengers. From there, he expertly managed the gap to the chasing pack before a late Safety Car, triggered when Chaz Mostert became stranded at Turn 1 with two laps remaining, neutralised the race.
The race ultimately finished under Safety Car conditions, handing De Pasquale victory ahead of Payne and Waters and securing his second win of the season.
Reynolds continued his forward progress throughout the afternoon, overcoming his starting position to finish 10th after a determined drive through the midfield. The result completed a strong recovery after a challenging Saturday and ensured both Team 18 Chevrolets finished the weekend on a positive note.
The victory caps off an encouraging Darwin Triple Crown for Team 18 and provides valuable momentum heading into the next round of the championship in Townsville on 10-12 July.

“Sunday race at Darwin. Pretty hot. Seventy laps again.
“I think I started 16th or something and we ended up 10th, so it’s not too bad.
“My car was actually pretty good. It was much better than it was yesterday and I was able to race forward. I think we lost a little time in the pits due to our fuel flow, but overall it was a much better race car than it was a qualifying car.
“I believe if we qualified at the front, I would’ve stayed at the front because it felt like a much better car today.
“There’s positives and negatives to take from the weekend. I’m looking forward to Townsville. It’s a really fun track and we’ll see how we go.”
