Following a successful Darwin Triple Crown, Team 18 continues Supercars’ northern swing this weekend as the team heads to Queensland for the NTI Townsville 500.

The Reid Park Street Circuit, a staple of the Supercars calendar since 2009, hosts the first true street circuit of the season following the Australian Grand Prix support event. Featuring 13 turns and comprising approximately 70 per cent public roads, the fast and abrasive layout is renowned for its unforgiving concrete walls, aggressive kerbs and demanding tyre management. Teams will race on the Dunlop Soft tyre throughout the weekend.

DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale arrives in Townsville full of confidence after claiming victory in Race 19 at Darwin. A perfectly executed undercut strategy allowed the Victorian to hold off Matt Payne and Cameron Waters before a late Safety Car sealed Team 18’s second victory of the 2026 season, and its first since Sydney.

Townsville also marks the debut of Team 18’s striking Cub Cadet Racing livery. In the third year of the partnership with Stanley Black & Decker’s outdoor power equipment brand, the No. 18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 adopts a forged grey-inspired design, reflecting Cub Cadet’s new 2026 product range. De Pasquale also enjoyed a strong Townsville outing last year, claiming a front-row start and a podium finish.

Snowy River Racing’s David Reynolds also heads north with confidence after finishing Darwin strongly, charging from 16th to 10th in Race 19. Reynolds will again race in the popular ‘Camping Under the Stars’ Indigenous livery, which returns for Townsville to coincide with NAIDOC Week (July 5–12), celebrating and recognising the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Reynolds also returns to a circuit where he claimed pole position twelve months ago.

The Townsville weekend begins with a 100km sprint race on Friday before two 200km races across Saturday and Sunday. Fans can catch every session live on Fox Sports and Kayo, with qualifying and racing on Saturday and Sunday also broadcast live and free on Channel 7 and 7plus.

QUOTES

Anton De Pasquale, driver – #18 Cub Cadet Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

“Looking forward to Townsville, coming off a couple really good rounds, so it feels like we’re building some really good momentum.

“I’m keen to get onto the first proper street track of the year. The curbs, the walls, the risk; that stuff should be really exciting.”

David Reynolds, , driver – #20 Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

“I love coming to Townsville, it’s one of the best tracks we go to, and I’ve had a lot of success there in the past.”

“It’s like, half street circuit, half parklands so overall you get the best of both worlds.”

“It’s very fast and rough and the tyres tend to rip themselves to shreds so it’s a track where you can gain a lot of positions, or lose a lot of positions.”
