Team 18 has recorded a solid points haul on Sunday at the Ipswich Super440 at Queensland Raceway, with DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale and Snowy River Racing’s David Reynolds both finishing inside the top 10 in Race 28 on Sunday afternoon.
Qualifying saw De Pasquale narrowly miss out on a place inside the Top 10, recording a 1:09.3566 to secure P11 on the grid and the top Chevrolet in the session. Reynolds qualified close behind in P14 with a 1:09.4974.
When the lights went out for Race 28, both drivers looked to make early progress through the field as the pack battled around the fast and demanding Queensland Raceway circuit.
De Pasquale delivered a strong drive from P11, making steady progress throughout the race to bring the DEWALT Chevrolet home in P6 and cap off the weekend with a solid result.
Reynolds also moved forwards, gaining five places across the race to finish P9 and secure a second top-10 result for Team 18.
With Ipswich now complete, Team 18 turns its attention to The Bend 500, where the Supercars endurance season gets underway on September 11-13.

“Sunday was a much better day for us and we found some more speed in the car.
“We’re still a fair way behind the leading cars, so there are plenty of areas for us to look at, but finishing sixth gives us a positive direction to build from.
“We have a test day at Queensland Raceway in a couple of days, which will give us an opportunity to try a few things and continue improving the car.
“Most importantly, we’re now looking forward to the endurance races. Lee will be back in the car and completing plenty of laps at the test, so our focus turns to The Bend and Bathurst.”
David Reynolds, Driver – No. 20 Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Race 28 Qualifying: P14 – 1:09.4974
Race 28: P9
“We had high hopes heading into qualifying and I thought I put together a reasonably good lap to finish 14th. On an absolutely perfect lap, we might have been able to reach 10th or 11th, but that was about everything the car had.
“I made a good start to the race and had some enjoyable battles during the opening laps. We decided to pit early, fit our better tyres and use the extra grip to make some progress.
“We gained a couple of positions through the strategy and had a great battle with Rylan Gray towards the end before finishing ninth.
“To move from 14th to ninth was a good result considering where we were yesterday. We improved the car across the weekend and finished on a positive note.
“Endurance season is next, and I can’t wait to have James Courtney back in the car and see what we can achieve together.”
