Team 18 is proud to announce that it has exercised its option with David Reynolds to remain with the team into the future.

The Mount Waverley based team will take a consistent driver line-up with Reynolds and Anton De Pasquale leading the Chevrolet Racing homologation partner team into the 2026 Supercars season.

The 2017 Bathurst winner first joined Team 18 in 2024, and currently sits 18th in the series standings with one pole position and five top ten finishes to date this year.

Reynolds said he is delighted to confirm his future with Team 18, highlighting the progress the squad has made since he joined and the pride in becoming Chevrolet’s homologation partner. He added that locking away his future before Bathurst allows him to focus purely on driving and finishing the season strongly.

Team Owner Charlie Schwerkolt said the team is thrilled to have Reynolds locked in, praising his speed, experience and energy both on and off the track. He noted that Reynolds has been a catalyst for driving the team forward, and that his strong relationship with De Pasquale and the engineering group will be key in maintaining continuity and building strength heading into 2026.

Reynolds made the announcement in typical hilarious fashion with a nod to the Anchorman, Ron Burgundy.

Reynolds will be joined by Lee Holdsworth in the #20 TRADIE Energy Racing Chevrolet for this weekend’s Repco Bathurst 1000, with cars hitting the track for practice on Thursday.

QUOTES

David Reynolds, #20 TRADIE Energy Racing Chevrolet Camaro

“I’m extremely beside myself to stay on at Team 18. This team’s been going from strength to strength since I joined, and I’ve watched everyone grow and get better within themselves. The team’s also grown in size and stature, especially with becoming the homologation team for Chevrolet. I think that’s such a good thing, and I’m really enjoying the journey with everyone.

“It’s great to have this all sorted before the biggest race of the year. It doesn’t really play on your mind, but from time to time it can, so it’s nice to have it done. Now I can just focus on what I love to do to drive my car fast. I can’t wait to finish the year on a high and start next year strong.”

Charlie Schwerkolt, Owner – Team 18

“We’re thrilled to have Dave Reynolds locked in and staying on with Team 18 into the future.

“He’s been a fantastic addition to the team over the past two seasons, not just with his speed behind the wheel but also with the energy and experience he brings to our garage.

“His input has really pushed us in the right direction and he’s hungry to continue to push this team forward.

“The relationship he’s built with Anton and our engineering group has been really valuable, and keeping that consistency in our line-up will only make us stronger heading into 2026.”
