Team 18 returned to action today at Queensland Raceway, with drivers Anton De Pasquale and David Reynolds completing two productive practice sessions ahead of this weekend’s Ipswich Super440.
De Pasquale hit the ground running in his #18 Cub Cadet Racing Camaro, finishing second fastest in opening practice. He showed strong pace throughout the day, ending Practice 2 in ninth after missing the optimum window for his green tyre run.
In the #20 TRADIE Energy Racing Camaro, Reynolds placed 15th and 14th across the two sessions as he reacquainted himself with the Ipswich circuit for the first time in six years, showing promising signs heading into Saturday.
Team 18 returns to the track tomorrow for knockout qualifying at 9:30am, followed by two 120km sprint races at 12:45pm and 4:10pm. All sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo.

“It’s good to be back at Queensland Raceway, sort of relearning how to get around here.
“Surprisingly we had two dry sessions and we had pretty good speed from us working through our changes and the team did a good job of rolling the car out pretty good.
“We didn’t maximise the green tyre run, just with some timing, so we’ll work on that tomorrow and keep pushing.”
David Reynolds, #20 TRADIE Energy Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Practice 1: 15th
Practice 2: 14th
“I’m going to say something a little bit controversial. I actually didn’t mind driving around this track. It’s been six years, there’s a lot of character back in the track, a lot of bumps, a few new surfaces, and actually was enjoyable, so that’s probably the first time I’ve said that in 20 years.
“All in all, it wasn’t too bad. Struggled with the car a little bit and then we put the new tyres on at the end which gave it a bit of grip and ended up 14th.
“Bit of stuff to work on my end. Anton’s car was fast so we’ll take a leap out of his book and see where we end up.”
