Team 18’s David Reynolds and Anton De Pasquale charged into the top ten after a strong showing in Friday practice for the 2025 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley Raceway.
After a difficult start to the day, with Reynolds and De Pasquale placing 16th and 15th respectively in Practice 1, the team regrouped with a raft of setup changes that paid immediate dividends in the second session.
Reynolds powered the TRADIE Energy Chevrolet to fourth in Practice 2, while De Pasquale slotted the DEWALT Racing Chevrolet into seventh.
Reynolds praised the engineering turnaround after a productive debrief between sessions.
De Pasquale echoed the positive momentum, highlighting the improved balance in Practice 2 after initial setup changes began to take effect.
Team 18 returns to the track tomorrow for back-to-back qualifying sessions from 8:35am ACST, ahead of Races 17 and 18 at 11:45am and 3:10pm respectively. Both 42-lap races will be broadcast live on Channel 7, Fox Sports and Kayo.

“ Friday practice done here at Darwin. It’s very warm. Just coming here, obviously understanding what we got and made some changes.
“We made a big step up in practice two for practice one, so hopefully that carries on throughout the weekend and get home with some good results.”
David Reynolds – driver #20 TRADIE Energy Racing Camaro
Practice 1: 16th
Practice 2: 4th
“We rolled out in Practice 1 and it was like the worst car I’ve ever ever driven in my life. Anton and I came back with those faces of ‘what has happened’.
“We talked about it over the break between Practice 1 and Practice 2, and the engineers came up with some awesome ideas and we went out and tried it and got results from it.
“Hopefully that can carry through the whole weekend. It was looking ordinary up until we did our new tyre run, and then both of our cars were easily in the then. So it’s a good start for the weekend.”
