2026 Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440, Event 08 of the Repco Supercars Championship, Wanneroo Raceway, Perth, Western Australia, Australia. 31 Jul, 2026.
Team 18 completed a productive opening day at the Perth Super440, with DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale and Snowy River Racing’s David Reynolds finishing inside the top 10 in Friday afternoon’s second practice session at Motormall Wanneroo Raceway.
The weekend began with two back-to-back 25-minute practice sessions, giving teams just 15 minutes between outings to make changes to their cars.
With both Team 18 entries remaining on used tyres throughout Practice 1, Reynolds led the squad in the Snowy River Chevrolet in eighth. De Pasquale focused on improving the balance of the DEWALT Chevrolet and recorded a best time of 0:55.8861 on his final lap, placing him 13th and less than half a second from the top.
Following the short turnaround, both drivers continued to develop their cars during Practice 2 before completing their first green-tyre runs of the weekend in the closing stages.
De Pasquale made a strong improvement on his final lap, setting a 0:55.1637 to finish ninth. Reynolds followed closely behind with a 0:55.2196, securing 10th position and placing both Team 18 Camaros inside the top 10 at the end of Friday running.
Team 18 will now review the data from both sessions and work to refine the balance of its two Camaros ahead of a busy Saturday featuring qualifying and two 120-kilometre sprint races.
Qualifying for Race 23 begins at 9:45am AWST on Saturday, followed by qualifying for Race 24 at 10:35am. Race 23 gets underway at 12:45pm before Race 24 closes the day at 4:20pm. All the action can be viewed live on Fox Sports and Kayo.
RESULTS & QUOTES
Anton De Pasquale, driver #18 DEWALT Racing Chevrolet Camaro
Practice 1: P13 (55.8861)
Practice 2: P9 (55.1637)
“Day one here in Perth is wrapped up. It was a pretty relaxed Friday compared to the last few rounds, with two back-to-back practice sessions and no racing.
“We tried plenty of different things to get the car going. We rolled out a little outside the window, but tuned it up throughout the sessions and got ourselves back on the pace. We just missed the new-tyre window slightly at the end, so there’s plenty of information to look through tonight. Hopefully we can put it all together for a strong day tomorrow.”
David Reynolds, driver #20 Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro
Practice 1: P13 (55.7682)
Practice 2: P9 (0:55.2196)
“Day one is done after two hectic 25-minute practice sessions with only a short break between them. We rolled out a fair way off the pace, but continued to improve the car throughout both sessions and ended up in a much better place.
“We fitted the green tyres in Practice 2, but the balance wasn’t quite where it needed to be. We learned a few things from that run and now need to understand why it behaved the way it did. If we can combine the best elements from today and make the perfect cake, I think we’ll be in for a good day tomorrow.”
