Team 18 salvaged valuable championship points in a chaotic final race of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship weekend at Albert Park, with DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale finishing 12th and Snowy River Racing’s David Reynolds recovering to 17th.

Drama struck immediately at the start when a multi-car incident unfolded at Turn 1 on the opening lap. Reynolds was caught up in the chaos and was spun, while De Pasquale did well to avoid the incident, bringing his #18 Chevrolet Camaro to a halt just in time and escaping with limited damage.

Reynolds was forced to pit for repairs following the contact, but the Team 18 crew worked quickly to repair the Snowy River Racing Camaro and return him to the race on the lead lap.

The race resumed on Lap 5 after the Safety Car period, with De Pasquale gradually working his way forward in a race that offered limited green-flag running.

De Pasquale moved through the field to secure 12th at the chequered flag, while Reynolds continued circulating after his early setback to finish 17th.

Leaving Albert Park, De Pasquale sits fifth in the Drivers’ Championship, with Reynolds 12th.

Team 18 will next cross the ditch for the New Zealand double-header, kicking off with the Taupō Super440 from April 10–12.

RESULTS & QUOTES

Anton De Pasquale, driver #18 DEWALT Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Race 7: P12

“Really busy week, a lot of on-track action and a lot of chaos on the track.

“For us on Sunday we started a bit further back and somehow avoided the first lap incident. From there we just didn’t have the speed. We tried some stuff for the Sunday race starting a bit further back, trying to learn some things still, which wasn’t too great.

“There weren’t too many racing laps anyway, not a lot to do, but still moved forward and still collecting some points for the weekend.

“We’re just lacking a bit of car speed this weekend, which we’ll look at and analyse and get ready for the double header in New Zealand, which is exciting.”

David Reynolds, driver #20 Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Race 7: P17

“Don’t qualify in the mosh pit or you get trampled on, and that’s what happened today. Qualified in the mosh pit and got trampled on.

“To be honest something was broken in my car. I came into the pits and they pulled apart the damper and it was just destroyed. I’m so surprised they actually put a damper in and got me back out.

“So we stayed on the lead lap and actually finished 17. My car was destroyed but we still got some result.

“Can’t wait for New Zealand. Learned a lot about our car this weekend and hopefully that will run us on to New Zealand and the rest of the year.”
