Team 18 has concluded the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship with a fantastic result at the Adelaide Grand Final, with DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale finishing in fifth and TRADIE Energy’s David Reynolds finishing 11th from 23rd.

Early morning rain left the track a patchwork of wet and dry tarmac for Race 34 qualifying, before a red flag from Cooper Murray disrupted Reynolds’ attempt while on a flying lap. De Pasquale would go on to qualify fourth to make the Shootout, but Reynolds was unable to set a competitive time after the session restarted and was knocked out in 23rd place. De Pasquale earned a fifth place for his efforts in the Shootout.

A Lap 1 safety car after contact between Feeney and Wood enabled De Pasquale to capitalise and gain two positions to third before the first round of pitstops, where a strategic undercut enabled him to take a net lead before tyre degradation caused him to fall back, and eventually settle into fifth place, where he would stay for the majority of the race.

Reynolds was able to stay out of trouble despite the chaotic start to the race and gained five positions after the first lap, before cleaving his way through the field as pit strategy and long run tyre management worked to his advantage. A five second penalty for Waters saw the TRADIE Energy driver elevated to P11 come race end.

With the Adelaide Grand Final wrapped up, the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship comes to an end with Team 18 consolidating fifth place in the team standings; De Pasquale’s fifth place gave him enough points to hold on to eighth place in the drivers’ championship over Brodie Kostecki, while Reynolds moves up to 13th, passing James Golding.

Attention within the team now turns towards enjoying a well-deserved break after 13 rounds of hard racing, before setting sights on the 2026 campaign and raising the bar with the help of Chevrolet Racing, as the new Chevy factory homologation team.

RESULTS & QUOTES

Anton De Pasquale, driver #18 DEWALT Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Qualifying: P4

TTSO: P5

Race 34: P5

“What a crazy race with all the championship battles and everything going on.

“For us, it was a really interesting one. We were in a good position, qualified well, made the Shootout, had a decent run, but just lacked a bit of late stint pace. We were strong for about half the stint and then faded. We weren’t quite at the pace of the podium guys, but we weren’t far away and put ourselves in the fight.

“Overall, a really good year and a really good weekend. We’ve shown we can compete at every track. There’s still a little bit to find, but I’m looking forward to next year.”

David Reynolds, driver #20 TRADIE Energy Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Qualifying: P23

Race 34: P11

“The Adelaide Grand Final is done and the 2025 season is complete.

“I stuffed up qualifying and didn’t get the most out of it, so we started 23rd, but we actually had a reasonable car in the race and finished P11.

“It’s been a beautiful year. I can’t thank everyone at TRADIE Energy Racing and Team 18 enough for all the effort, support and love they’ve put into me and the car. I can’t wait to come back next year and hopefully achieve a lot more.

“This year wasn’t too bad, but it could have been a lot better. Towards the end of the season we were getting stronger, so hopefully we take those learnings and build on them over the summer.

“Merry Christmas everyone, and Happy New Year.”
