DEWALT Racing’s Anton De Pasquale scored a top ten finish with a ninth place in Race 4 of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship in the first race at the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, with Snowy River Racing’s David Reynolds home in 15th.
Thursday at the Grand Prix is traditionally the busiest day on the calendar, with teams tackling two practice sessions, qualifying for Races 4 and 5 and the first 19-lap sprint race in the afternoon.
With the second practice halted half way through due to an incident, teams went into qualifying with limited running, with De Pasquale qualifying seventh for Races 4 and 5, with Reynolds starting from P16 and P15 after a brush with the wall.
De Pasquale lost ground off the start in Race 4 and dropped back to ninth before a safety car was called on Lap 6. He held position to the chequered flag to open his Grand Prix account with a top ten.
Reynolds battled in the midfield, coming home in 15th place.
Friday’s action will see a single 19-lap race from 5:30pm AEDT, with De Pasquale and Reynolds starting from seventh and 15th respectively. All the action can be viewed live on Channel 10, Fox Sports and Kayo.

“Busy day at the races. A lot of sessions. Okay day for us in the top ten. Just missed a couple tricks in qualifying and then the race car wasn’t as good as what we’d hoped.
“So we’ll have a think about it, try a couple things. Have another race tomorrow starting from the same position.”

“Really big day. Like it’s rare that you’re in your race suit the entire day from 10am till 6pm.
“Practice went okay. We missed our last run, which most people did, the new tyres, so we’re sort of a little bit impacted about that, but I think everyone was sort of similar except for the rookies who run new tyres.
“In Qualifying the pace should have been about tenth. I think that was sort of my ultimate pace and I ended up 15th and 16th, so a couple of tenths off where I think I believed I should have been. Otherwise to get to another six tenths to the front guys we need to find more grip all round.
“It’s a funny track this because you can feel like you’re miles off but you’re not that far, but even in qualifying the car felt good, I was happy with it, but it just needed more grip I think, and then the lap time probably would’ve turned up.
“In the race got a reasonable start. I kind of knew I was a bit wounded from the start because I had a lot of understeer and I was kinda waiting for that to get better, but it never did. So sometimes in these races if you’ve got lots of understeer you can just wait ten laps and it’s come here. But it didn’t, so I was a little bit surprised about that, and the tyre didn’t really degrade like I thought it was going to. I thought a lot more people would’ve been struggling towards the end, but not really.”
