Team 18 is thrilled to announce that Supercars Hall of Famer, Colin Bond, will be the guest of honour at the second annual Team 18 Open Day on Sunday, 19 November.

Bond, who is widely regarded as a legend of Australian motorsport, will engage with fans in a Q&A session and a meet and greet during a dedicated signing session. Bond will also attend the Team 18 Members Night the evening before as a special guest.

Bond is celebrated for his illustrious career, which boasts remarkable achievements including winning the 1969 Hardie Ferodo 500 at Bathurst for the Holden Dealer Team, and securing the 1975 Australian Touring Car Championship title for the same team. Additionally, Bond displayed placed second in the famous Ford formation finish in the 1977 James Hardie 1000 for the Ford Dealer Team, narrowly trailing team owner Allan Moffat. Bond retired from racing in 1994, and in recognition of his invaluable contributions to motorsport, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).

Team owner Charlie Schwerkolt extended the invitation to Bond due to their long-standing friendship and shared passion for motorsport.

The Team 18 Open Day will feature a wide array of attractions including a car display by the HSV Owners Club of Victoria, sponsor activations, a signing session with Team 18 drivers Scott Pye and Mark Winterbottom, live music by JB & Me, a kids’ jumping castle, and a variety of food and coffee vans.

Admission to the Team 18 Family Open Day on Sunday, November 19 is free, offering an opportunity for fans and their families to enjoy an action-packed day.
