Bathurst Champion David Reynolds’ #20 TRADIE Energy Chevrolet Camaro will go purple for Australia’s Great Race, the Bathurst 1000 on October 9-12.
Reynolds, who won the Mount Panorama classic in 2017, will share the car with 2021 winning co-driver Lee Holdsworth.
Reynolds’ TRADIE Energy Chevrolet has cycled through several colours this year, starting fluro yellow for TRADIE’s Lemon Squash flavour, before going pink to showcase their Creamy Soda flavour. The car has now undergone another colour scheme to celebrate TRADIE’s new zero-sugar G’Day Grape flavour.
The livery was revealed at Channel Seven’s Melbourne studios live on Sunrise to announce Reynolds’ rematch race between he and Sunrise host and former Olympic sprinter Matt Shirvington.
Shirvington and Reynolds faced off in a human vs car race in the lead-up to Round 1 of the Repco Supercars Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park, which Reynolds narrowly won in a stunning photo finish.
The rematch will take place on the pit straight of the famous Mount Panorama circuit on Friday 10 October.
Reynolds and co-driver Lee Holdsworth scored a 13th place finish in the first Enduro race at the Airtouch 500 at The Bend, and currently sits 18th in the points standings.
The Repco Bathurst 1000 gets underway on Thursday 9 October for practice and qualifying at the Mount Panorama circuit ahead of the 63rd running of The Great Race on Sunday 12 October, with all the action live on Channel 7, Fox Sports and Kayo.
