Team 18 have unveiled the livery of Mark Winterbottom’s #18 DEWALT Racing Team 18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the opening round of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship at the Thrifty Newcastle 500 on 10-12 March.

The 2023 season marks a return for the famous yellow and black colours of DEWALT, the world’s largest power tool company and the flagship brand of the world’s largest toolmaker, Stanley Black and Decker.

“The team at Stanley Black & Decker are very excited to continue our partnership with Team 18 under the renewed banner of DEWALT Racing,” said Stanley Black & Decker ANZ Managing Director Adrian Davis.

It is also great to see that we have retained Mark Winterbottom on the number 18 Camaro. Mark is a renowned driver and a fantastic ambassador for our brands.

The partnership that Team 18 provides through the Supercars events allows us to connect with our users where they work and play, and gives us a fantastic platform to showcase the diverse range of Power Tools, Outdoor Power Equipment, Hand Tools, Storage, Accessories and Anchors that DEWALT has to offer.

Showing our tools in action gives consumers the confidence in the quality and durability of our products, so we are excited to provide a major retail activation program as part of the DEWALT Racing partnership.”

The #18 DEWALT Racing Team 18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 welcomes returning team partners Fuchs Lubricants, Hino, Seiko, Barry Bourke Motors, Kenworth Trucks, Credence Insurance, Super Spill Solutions, Manitou, Waverley Forklifts, D2N Technology Solutions, Taubmans, Ball & Doggett, Ozwide Joinery, ELWD Workwear, Alpinestars, Authentic Collectables, Bell Collision and Style Print.

The team has also welcomed onboard new partners in Industrial Batteries Australia, ACDelco Batteries, Mechanix Wear, The Cover Shop and RXT Helmets among their suite of corporate partners.

The 2023 DEWALT Racing livery was created by renowned designer Nick Moss and brought to life by PPG paint and vinyl partner Ball & Doggett.

“We’re excited to reveal the 2023 DEWALT Racing Camaro and it absolutely looks the business,” said Team 18 owner Charlie Schwerkolt.

“Our partnership with Stanley Black & Decker enters its sixth year this year and they have been incredibly supportive of the team, providing the tools for our skilled mechanics to bring these cars to life.

“The team and drivers have been working incredibly hard in the off-season to get the upper hand on these Camaros and I feel we’re on to big things for Team 18 and DEWALT Racing in 2023.”

2022 saw Winterbottom finish ninth in the standings, highlighted by top-five finishes at Sandown and Darwin.

2023 marks his 20th season in the main game as a full-time driver, with the 2013 Bathurst 1000 winner and 2015 Supercars Champion set to bring up his 600th Supercars race start later in the year.

“The DEWALT Camaro looks really tough. DEWALT is such a recognisable brand and logo so to see it on our car is pretty cool, the car looks fantastic,” said Winterbottom.

“The bonnet looks cool with the big Fuchs logo, I’ve had it on there for the last four years so that’s familiar to me.

“The way the rules are designed and the way the car is built, a good car is still going to be a good car so if you have a good car you’ll be fast, there’s no doubt about that.

“The guys and girls at Team 18 have worked big hours to get both cars ready, and we haven’t rushed it which has been great.

“We’re taking our time and it’s all built in house by everyone here. They know the car and when you build your own car and you have this pride that goes with it and everyone here is so proud of what they’ve built.

“Until we get it on track it’s a bit of the unknown which is exciting for us. There’s no previous form, there’s no team that won the last race in that car, it’s a reset for everyone. I’m really excited and I think experience will play a big part here when we roll out for Round 1.”

“Ultimately you want a good looking car that’s getting good looking trophies so that’s the goal for me this year.

“It’s exciting to see it in the flesh but even more excited to hit the track with anger and put it where it belongs.”

The #18 DEWALT Racing Team 18 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will head to Winton Motor Raceway for a shakedown on Wednesday 15 February, before the official Supercars pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park on Wednesday 22 February.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship kicks off on 10-12 March with the Thrifty Newcastle 500, which will be shown live on Channel 7 and Fox Sports.
