Team 18 has unveiled a striking look for their Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the end-of-season wind tunnel testing in the United States.

Designed by legendary GM designer Peter Hughes, the steel-grey matte livery serves to reflect the partnership between Chevrolet Racing and Team 18, and features long curving waves on the side panels and an Australian flag on the spoiler and splitter.

As the homologation partner for Chevrolet Racing going forward from 2026, the car was first unveiled in Team 18’s Mount Waverley headquarters, before being sent off to the US for testing.

Overseeing the technical aspects of the testing process is GM Senior Engineer Jeromy Moore, who recently transitioned from Triple Eight Race Engineering to join GM’s in-house motorsport technical operations. Moore’s involvement marks a significant step in GM’s future Supercars strategy, with his expertise playing a key role in the aerodynamic validation and performance benchmarking of the Camaro platform.

The car is being sent to WindShear in Concord, NC, and tested in their state-of-the-art wind tunnel, alongside the 2026-homologation Ford Mustang and new manufacturer Toyota with their GR Supra.

“We are extremely proud to showcase the colours for our wind tunnel car reflecting our partnership between Chevrolet Racing, GM, and Team 18”

“Peter Hughes has done a fantastic job; it’s fast, sleek, and aggressive.”

“The main reason behind the matte livery is for Supercars and ourselves to easily be able to 3D scan the car pre and post going in the tunnel to accurately capture the fine detail and positioning of the aero surfaces.”
